OUTREACH

Extention Activities

The College is committed to carving out a generation who would take an active role in social activities. The college promotes network with neighborhood communities through organizing awareness programmes on HIV, AIDS, Health and Hygiene, Human Rights, Dowry harassment, Women’s health etc. Adoption of nearby villages, formation of Self Help Groups, Imparting training for self – employment, assisting the villages to avail loan from nationalized banks. Providing Computer Literacy, training the village women to develop their skill on embroidering, sewing, Saree Kuchhu Making are some of the significant extension activities of our college.

Impact:

Through extension and outreach programs, we sensitize the students to develop social values, widespread their responsibilities and knowledge in societal issues and problems by making them to involve with the community people. Through this, we establish a good relationship with NGO, Industries and join hands with local community organization and serve the community. Students with profound interest attain the social values and responsibility. Above all, the students get hold of social justice, value, responsibility and sustainability.

Extension Activities for the year 2018-19.

  •       Awareness Programme on “ Health and Nutrition from “Geneva Convention Day” conducted by YRC on 27-7-2018.
  •       Study Visit to Balakeeyara Bala Mandir of Women and Child Protection Home, Gadag on 05-10-2018.
  •       Study Visit to “Arunodaya” School for Children with Special Needs by YRC on 03-10-2018.
  •       Blood Donation Camp in Association with YRC, RRC, IMA and NSS on 01-02-2019.
  •       Study Visit to Lakkundi by Department of History and Kannada on 09-02-2019.
  •       NSS Special Camp held at Beladadi Tanda from 16-02-2019 to 22-02-2019.
  •       4 students participated in National Integration Camp held at GFGC, Ranebennur from 01-03-2019 to 07-03-2019.
  •       Study Visit to “Jeevan Sandya” Manibai Kantilal Shah Old Age Home by Department of Home Science and Sociology on 19-03-2019.
